Until now all the saints in India and most of the mystics call Sansar is Maya, but why it is Maya have you ever thought about it…most of the people just believe blindly that world is an illusion…but have you understood it…have you known it…yes the mystics have known it and understood it and they say it because they have actually gone through the experience of transcendence, then they say on the behalf of their experience.
But you will be surprised to know that there is a scientific explanation to it why world is an illusion, in his book Tertium Organum, P.D Ouspensky gives a logical explanation to why is that…..this is what he says….and he starts from the very beginning….explaining each and everything….
He says that time …we divide it into 3 parts past, present and future…past which is gone, future which has not come yet…we are only left with the present…but what do we call present…the moment you say anything about the present it becomes dead…it becomes the past….we cant even utter a word that it becomes the past…so fast is the motion happening things coming from the future…touching the present and turning into past…can you really touch the present. After going through all this we come to know that our consciousness is not capable enough to catch the present…its just like water…try holding the water…nothing comes to our hand….so we cannot really say that present exist…and if present doesn’t exist than pat and future also has no significance…they also don’t exist.
So if past, present and future don’t exist does this world exist…???
He says that our world is a world of 3rd dimensions…where we are only able to see the world in only this dimension and not more than that…more than that is not the capacity of our senses. It’s only the superman…the person who has transcended the time….transcended the past, present and future can see the other dimension and the person who can see beyond has entered into the world of 4th dimension. This man will be capable to see more than what normal senses see, hear, touch, smell etc.
This superman is no other than the person who has traveled beyond time using the instrument, his magical wand called meditation. He will be able to see the past, present and future together…this is how time exist not in parts but all together…our mind has a tendency of breaking things in parts…the moment it breaks it in part…the thing becomes unreal…it becomes an illusion. He will be able to see the beginning of work and ending of results together, the sunrise and the sunset together, the cause and effect together, trains moving towards each other and the collision, the birth and the death together.
So whatever we see is fragmented and not complete…our mind is only able to grasp one flash of the past…one flash of the thing which it is seeing….
So if everything is moving from future to present to past than whatever we see that is also moving …the light of the star which we see right now has traveled a long distance and we are really not sure that the star is really present there or not whose light it is.
The book which you see in front of you…your mind I just catching the glimpse of the past…but your mind is not able to see from where this book has come…what is its existence and where it is heading towards…what is its future… only that person is able to see who has gone beyond mind…
So the book which we are holding in our hand is a thought from the past…is continuously changing…evolving…growing….moving towards future…our senses are not capable enough to see the time and the result is we are not able to see what’s in front…but we see a section of it only, which section we called the 3rd dimensional body. Therefore we are in error in thinking that the 3rd dimensional body in itself is something real. It is a projection of 4th dimensional body…its picture…. the image of it on our plane.
The 4th dimensional body is the infinite number of 3rd dimensional bodies. That is, the 4th dimensional body is the infinite number of moments of existence of the 3rd dimensional body, its states and positions…..a line is the infinite repeation of a point.
For example human body – although same – changing – traveling – moving and so on till death…after death also it still continues its journey…..
When we say that the car is there….its an illusion…the car is becoming…the car is traveling and this is what Buddha used to say that there is nothing which is till in the world…everything is moving and changing continuously…the wheel is moving continuously except its axis which is still….the wheel which is moving is the 3rd dimensional space and the axis which is not moving is the 4th dimensional space.
So if we observe more attentively we shall see that it is an illusion. Things of 3rd dimensional are unreal and variable [Sansar is Maya – world is an illusion].
They cannot be real because they do not exist in reality, just as the imaginary sections of a solid do not exist. 4 dimensional bodies alone are real.
So existence has to be total and not partial…only than it is real.
